All Motor Carriers with a Motor Carrier Number (MC#) must keep a copy of the MC Certificate on file and inside a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) at all times.
An MC Certificate is issued to a Motor Carrier upon establishment of an Operating Authority. It is the Motor Carrier's responsibility to secure copies of the MC Certificate on file and in all of vehicles operating under the carrier's authority.
An MC-Certificate is a Federal Document attesting to your compliance with FMCSR 366 and FMCSR 387 of the Code of Federal Regulations Title 49.
This document certifies that said MC Number is valid and belongs to the listed Motor Carrier in compliance with all insurance and process agent requirements that have been met.
It must be kept on file and in all vehicles operating under the Motor Carrier's Authority.
